22 Anglers had anther good day. Several anglers had limit out. Pool fish was 6 1/2 lbs

                                 4/22/08  Tuesday

15 Anglers 60 kept Blackfish releasing over 150 shorts and about 40 legal size fish.

Nader Gerber had over 30 fish himself

Pool fish was 8 lbs

 

Thursday May 15th we started Fluke fishing.

 

Also on May 15th we started our two trips a day.

2nd trip from 4:30 PM TO 8:30 pm

                              4/24/08  Thursday

It was a beautiful day on the Long Island Sound today.

18 Anglers caught between 60 and 70 keeper blackfish, many with their limit and countless shorts. There was action most of the day. The pool winner, Anthony, had the biggest blackfish, just over 9 lbs!!

                              4/25/08  Friday

It was a beautiful day on the Long Island Sound today.

22 Anglers caught 80 keeper Blackfish. Many anglers

with there limit, over 200 shorts. Pool fish was 7 1/2 lbs

                            4/26/08  Saturday

Hard East winds made for slow pick. 23 Anglers with 50

Keepers.

 

                             4/27/08  Sunday

20 Anglers with 80 keepers. It was a good day with the black fishing. The sea bass are starting to show up.

 

                           4/30/08  Wednesday

Sandy from the DEC was on board the James Joseph II

today. She counted 170 blackfish. The pool fish was 6.2 lbs

 

 

                             4/29/08  Tuesday

It was excellent fishing today. Most of the anglers had

there limit fish today. Pool fish was 9 lbs.

 

 

 

                              Monday  5/5/08

Nice day on the sound. 3 to 5 Flounders per angler and

no one got skunked.

7 anglers on board with 29 keeper Flounder

                           Wednesday  5/7/08

4 anglers on board with 17 keeper Flounder

                             Sunday  5/11/08

13 Anglers on board with 35 Keeper Flounders

  Thursday  5/15/08  Fluke opening season day

22 Anglers on board with around 45 keeper Fluke.

Over 100 shorts. Pool fish for the day was 6 1/2 lbs.

Thursday  5/15/08 Afternoon trip  (4:30  TO  8:30 PM)

Fluke fishing was also good.

                          Saturday  6/7/08

With the water Temp up by 8 degrees, It was a great day

for fishing. There was 21 Anglers on board with 66 keeper

Fluke and many shorts. Pool fish was 6 3/4 lb. Most fish

caught with white buck tails in 10 to 15 feet of water.

 

                          Monday  6/9/08

As of around 1 PM this afternoon there was 3 fluke at 7

lbs and 6 Fluke at 5 lbs. The fishing is great. The Fluke

are going for the white buck tail.

                        Monday  6/30/08

10 Fluke caught from 6 lbs to 8 lbs. It was a good day of

Fluke fishing.

 

                        Tuesday  7/1/08

As of around 11:30 AM this morning we had 1 Fluke at 8 1/2 lbs. Great day of Fluke fishing.
