Some tips for making it an enjoyable experience. |
There are a few things that people sometimes forget to take into account when they are planning a fishing trip aboard the James Joseph. Below are a list of things that we recommend bringing to make your trip more enjoyable and safe. |
Cooler: Great to keep your catch cold both before and after filleting. You can use a cheap Styrofoam one, but we recommend getting a pretty good one if you plan on making more than one trip. |
Sun Screen: Nothing ruins a day more than getting sun burn! Get the highest SPF rating you can and reapply through out the day since even waterproof; brands aren't really impermeable to getting wet. |
Extra Layers of Clothing: Even though in the late spring and fall it may seem to be really warm on land it is often much colder once you get out on the water. If you bring an extra fleece or light sweater it could save your day and keep you from getting sick. |
Your Own Rod and Reel: Though our rods are made to handle any fishing that will be done on our boat year round, some people may want to use a more specialized setup. |
Mono Leader for Braided Line: We cannot guarantee that we will have line available to create leaders for braided line setups, we also ask that anyone fishing with braided line be patient while the mates set them up since it does take some time to do so and other customers may need help at the same time. To alleviate this problem the mates are more than happy to show you how to tie on the leader so you don't have a wait in the future. |
Insert important item here: If there is any thing that you require to have with you, i.e. medicine, rags, etc.... Please bring it with you because once we are out on the water we do not return until the trip is over except for extreme emergencies. |
If you keep in mind these things and use common sense your trip will be a memorable and enjoyable event |
